Rock City Books & Coffee began its life in 1992 as Second Read Books & Coffee. As the first coffeehouse/bookstore in Maine, it quickly became an anchor of the downtown cultural scene. Featuring used and new books and a busy coffeehouse, Rock City is a gathering place for conversation, meetings, readings, discussion groups, lunch, art and music.
